When mama said it's about Miru's wedding my heartbeat got faster. What's now?

"Do you remember my friend's son Arun who works in Chennai?" Mama asked.

Where is this Arun came from? I thought.

"Yes I remember" aathai said and mama looked at appa.

"Yeah I know him too. He is a nice guy" appa said.

Nice my ass.... What dad you too?? I am nice guy too.... I am the perfect choice... I screamed inside my head maintaining a normal face but I know it's no use.

"I thought of marrying him to Miru. He is a good choice what are you saying?" Mama asked.

My plams turn into a fist and my jaw clenched. How can they marry my wife to another guy? What are they even thinking? Can't they see me? Amma looked at me and my tension. She looked at mama.

"I have an objection anna" amma said.

"What is it Kannama?" Mama asked.

"I want Miru as my daughter in law. I want her hand in marriage for my Dev. My son is also a nice guy working in Chennai with fine salary. He can take care of Miru more than anyone" amma said. My anger eased a bit and a smile came upon my lips.

"If you want Miru as your daughter in law means I want Teju as my daughter in law for my Hari. My Hari is also a good guy" aathai said.

Well they both are doing everything correctly. Our fathers are in shock hearing the sudden wishes of their wives. Then, they look at us. We all four look down at the ground in acceptance and shyness.

"So the whole family have talked about it before, isn't it?" Appa asked.

"They are only informing us machan!" Mama said.

"Did you gave any promises to your friend?" Aathai asked. He shook his head.

"No, I just thought about it" mama said.

"So it's okay for you both?" Amma asked mama and appa.

"How can't I accept Dev as my son in law? I saw him grew up as a gentleman infront my eyes. He is the perfect choice for my daughter" mama said. A proud smile came upon my lips.

"That goes here... I am so happy to have Hari as my son in law" appa said....

If anyone ask me who's the happiest person in the world right now I would say it's me. I am going to marry her. The women of my dreams. I don't know how she is feeling but I was on cloud nine when she said yes. Is that mean she also have feelings for me? Miru kept her head on my shoulders and start to cry. Tears of happiness. I wipe it and hug her.

"Why are you crying Miru? Is this wedding is not okay for you papa?" Mama asked. She shook her head.

"It's just I am so happy and I can't control my tears" Miru said. Dev look at her with the same tears on his eyes. They have waited for this moment for last six years and I also waited for this moment for last six years too...

"So when? Where? The wedding is going to happen?" Appa asked.

"Within this one week Miru and Teju's results will come. After that we can discuss about it" aathai said.

"Then why did you called us now? We want leave for the wedding too" Dev said.

"Yeah we should have called you both after fixing the grooms" Amma mocked him.

"No! No! No! We can take leave as much as we can the boss is so close to us isn't it Hari?" He asked. I nod smiling. Everyone laughed looking at Dev's dumb folded face.

"Okay everyone go and sleep it's already late" mama said.

We nod and came to our house. Amma and appa goes to their room. When Miru was about to enter her room. I grab her wrist stopping her. She turn and look at me.

"I have a question" I said.

"Hari anna I am really sorry for hiding that from you" she said with guilt.

"It's okay da papa. You didn't love a bad guy and hide it from me. Dev is a worthy guy to have my precious little diamond" I said. She smiled.

"Does Teju also have feelings for me?" I asked.

"Actually she didn't said anything like that but whenever someone talks about you a blush will come upon her face" she said. I nod.

"I am so happy for you da anna" she said.

"I am so happy for you too" I said.

"Good night" she said.

"Night" I said and came to my room....

Dev anna is in my room. We always talk like this whenever he come home after long days.

"I can't believe I am going to marry her" he said smiling looking at the ceiling.

"I am so happy for you anna" I said. He looked at me.

"Teju, you are okay with this wedding right? Do you have any feelings for Harish?" He asked concern written all over his face.

"Yes I am so happy about this wedding. Actually I had feelings for Hari for past five years but I didn't tell him because I was so scared" I said.

"Not everyone can have this you know marrying the person we love with our family's permission" he said. I nod.

"Okay Teju you sleep, good night" He said and got up.

"Good night anna" I said. He turns off the light, close the door and left the room and I started to sleep....

THE NEXT DAY EARLY IN MORNING...

MIRU...💙

Me and Hari came to the terrace to do my yoga and his workout. We see Dev and Teju on their terrace. They also came to do their workout. We are so conscious about our physical health. I look at Dev.

"Othaiyadi pathayil Thaavi odure Aththai peththa poomagana Thedi vaaduren..." I sang

"Devathaiyai kanden kaadhalil vizhundhen En uyir udan kalanthu vitaal Nenjukul nulainthaal moochinil nirainthaal En mugavari maatri vaithaal..." Dev sang. Hari looked at us both and when he was about to open his mouth.

"Eppo nee enna paapa??? Eppo en pecha keppa?? Eppo naan pesa ketta paiyaa???" Teju sang. Hari shyly look at the ground.

"Sundari neeyum.. sundaran nyaanum Cherndhirnuthal thiruvonam..." Hari sang.

"Ohhh! Ohhh!"  Me and Dev sang the chorus. Teju hide her face behind her brother.

"Anni! Ennaku namba veetuku mela etho singing contest nadakura mariyea iruku" we heard amma's voice.

[ Sister in law! I feel like there is a singing contest going on our terrace]

"Ama anni! Ennaku apuditha iruku..." We heard aathai's voice too.

[ Yes sister in law! I too feel the same thing]

We four came to the corner and look down and see our mothers with broom stick and a bucket of water. They came to clean the front porch.

"Dev! Miru! Please stop singing. It's distrubing" Hari anna said.

"Yes anna! Please let me concentrate on my workout..." Teju said and we both gasped.....
